I was born on February 13, to loving parents that instilled values of family, work , and church. God blessed with me with a loving husband that is employed at the Veterans Affair Hospital as an electrician. We are blessed with two beautiful children, Jennie and Chris. Jennie is currently a college student that works full time. Jennie and I are very excited to be planning her wedding to our future son in law , Patrick, on August 8, 2009. Our son Christopher is currently serving our country in the South Pacific as a Sergeant in the US. Navy, luckily his four year service will end June 28, 2009. We all look forward to his return home and plan to welcome him back with a BIG BASH July 4, 2009.
I had the opportunity to begin my childcare career in 1992 and quickly found that my true calling was children. They all won my heart with those little hugs and kisses. From large corporate centers to a small Monissori centers, I learned a lot. If a continuous education class was available I was in it, and still enjoy attending workshops. After several years as a teacher, I had the opportunity to become an Asst. Director at a few centers and learned a lot. Then I was moved up to a director I enjoyed mentoring young staff and forming relationships that have lasted a life time. I feel that having the opportunity to start out as a teacher and working with every age group has helped me become the director I am today. The staff know they can come to me at anytime and I will do all I can to help them in any way I can. I love the curriculum planning I believe that each child is capable of meeting appropriate expectations. I want to see to it that the teachers have all the materials they need to develop the whole child emotionally, physically, cognitively, and socially.
My family and I were a few of the first to join World Outreach Church and have seen the wonders that God has blessed them with. As the church began growing, I had the opportunity to help build their infant program and teach Pre-k Sunday School. My husband, Thomas, has lead the Twelve Step Recovery group for many years . As a family we have been blessed with great friends from worshiping at World Outreach.
I am thankful for the opportunity I have been given at this time to open and own The Learning Garden with a wonderful partner Kim Cruz. Our staff are loving, caring and committed teachers. Our teachers prepare your child for the future by giving them the best learning environment possible. I am so glad to be apart of this wonderful group of people. Parents take comfort in our open door policy. Join us as a partner, to ensure that your child has the best experience and preparation possible to begin their life as a student . Thanks for taking the time to read about me. I hope to hear from you soon and would like your family to be apart of our family.
