Well. . . I wished upon the brightest star in the sky, and all my dreams came true!
Once upon a time in a land called Nashville, I meet this really "Charming" man. Over the next several years it seemed as if our paths were always crossing. Then in the winter of 1992, finally he asked me out. I remember that day well, as if it was only yesterday. It was truely love at first sight! On August 13,1993, I married my "prince charming", Rick Cruz! O.K., maybe he is not really a "prince", but he was very charming. After this fairy tale begining, we knew that our story would go down in history
On March 29, 1995, we welcomed our first princess to the world, Bobbi Joann. After the addition of Princess Bobbi, we wanted to relocate to a wonderful place far way from the big city. After our first visit to Christiana, we fell in love with the hills and amazing sunsets, and we bought our first castle (ok it was a house) in this beautiful far away land!
After several months of commuting to the big city, I decided to leave "Corporate America" and go to work at Stepping Stone Academy, where Princess Bobbi attended childcare. On September 1, 1996, I stepped into a new world...not just a job....a exciting new life. Teaching was a perfect fit, it was what I was meant to do all along. Those years were filled with some of the greatest memories!
Several years pasted and we were blessed with our first prince. Prince John was born on March 1, 2000. After returning from my maternity leave, I received a promotion "Queen" (OK, Director) of a Kingdom (OK, Stepping Stone Academy) . Over the next six years, I had the amazing opportunity to work with an awesome group of professionals that shared my vision of providing the best care possible. During my directorship, we accomplished many things from Accreditation to being a state rated three star center! It was an amazing time.
In 2006, I had the opportunity to getting to know Mrs. Regina. Ms. Regina and I clicked instantly! She was there, as a friend, when I needed one! Regina helped me put things into prepective and we realized that together we could do anything.
Then it happened! A day to remember forever....The Learning Garden was born! On 08-07-06, Regina and I celebrated our first day as owner/directors of our kingdom! It was a very bright day for all! We opened the doors with big dreams and a lot of prayers, and God continues to bless us everyday!
As if this story couldn't get any better on November 17, 2006, Rick and I welcomed our third child, Princess Anna Beth. What a perfect piece to complete our faimily and now we are all living Happily Ever After!
The Beginning. . .
So the moral of this story is that some dreams do come true. (It‘s all in perception).
